Nicole Springer
Nicole Springer is a Pitch Music Award winning, critically acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Nicole’s music, written as a means of healing, is a passion filled vocal showcase. Each of Nicole’s songs are personal pieces that drift in and out of her influences, from joyous gospel pop to ballads reminiscent of blues and old country. Nicole’s powerful sound has been heard on stages like at Camp Leavenworth with Melissa Ethridge, Boulevardia, Middle of the Map Fest, Folk Alliance Conference,The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and the Midcoast Takeover in Austin. Now with her brand new backing band of seasoned pros (Scott Bosworth, Randy Erickson, and Tyler Pittenger), Nicole aims to take her 3 octave range voice, raw and personal songwriting, and genre defying sound to stages all over Kansas City and beyond.
Marcotte
For singer-songwriter duo Jordan and Sasha Marcotte, soul is the term that most embodies the emotional transparency they commit to in the music they compose and perform together as MARCOTTE.
The Marcottes met in Kansas City, MO in 2013. They quickly discovered that collaboration came naturally and what they could do together surpassed any success they were able to achieve separately. Sasha and Jordan partnered together to create and perform original songs for their friends’ weddings–music that honestly and affectionately communicated the love story of the bride and groom. Soon finding their own love story in the midst, the pair has successfully translated that same honesty and affection to the art they create together.
Though the stages and audience have grown in size and number as MARCOTTE continues to experience acclaim, the r&b-pop duo has been able to keep the intimacy and clarity they’re known for while performing for live audiences.
My Oh My!
My Oh My! is a two-woman, five-man band from Kansas City, Missouri, that plays a party-sized blend of Americana, Classic rock, and Folk.
Going from 0 to 60 in four bars flat, My Oh My! has seven human cylinders burning: Soulful, towering, and earnest front man A.M. Merker leads ladies Sarah Wittman and Melissa Geffert in call-and-response hymns about growing up but not giving up. The boys in the band (keyboardist Grant Buell, guitarist Stephen Berry, bassist Justin Rogers, and drummer Jacob Horpinjuk) bang out shimmering, country-tinged grooves and classic rock riffs with equal swagger.
