Julia Othmer

Julia Othmer is a piano-playing songstress known for the intensity of her stage presence and dynamic performances. Her award-winning music (International Songwriting Competition, Billboard World Song Contest) has been featured in film, TV, and video games. She tours internationally (pandemic notwithstanding) and has shared the stage with a wide range of artists including Emmylou Harris, The Alarm, Sarah McLachlan, Lisa Loeb and Regina Spektor. Among her most recent accolades, Julia was chosen as one of seven artists to represent the USA in Global Music Match 2021. Julia is passionate about connecting her music with issues of social and environmental justice. Othmer released Songs of September (a voter registration project) in 2020 and is currently working on a global multi-disciplinary arts project called SEVEN addressing climate change and celebrating planetary diversity.

Jessica Paige

Voted Kansas City’s Best Vocalist, Jessica is a master storyteller, translating personal experience into music that is sophisticated, diverse in its influences, and instantly relatable. Her commanding voice has been described as equal parts Norah Jones and Janis Joplin, an uncommon union of sultry warmth and raw power. Jessica recently recorded her second album at the legendary Bear Creek Studio.

Mikal Shapiro

Hailed by the Kansas City Star as one of the area’s most gifted songwriters, Mikal has crafted a repertoire of songs that draw inspiration from her travels, love life and the state of the Union. In 2019, her album “The Musical II” was listed by 90.9 The Bridge as one of the top local albums of the decade. When she is not working on her solo project, she is collaborating with area synth rock bands Monta at Odds and The Republic Tigers.
